It’s a near impossible effort to encapsulate my respect and homage to a legend of Urdu poet, a master of words and universal sentiments, a visionary of humanity, justice, equal rights, freedom of expression and an unwavering fighter for all causes he stood for. His poetry is not only a reflection of his own life and pursuits, but it is also a source of inspiration and enlightenment for generations to come. It touches upon the complexities of human emotions, the struggles and plight of those crushed by their miserable circumstances at the bottom of economic and power pyramids all over the world.
