CATA stands for The Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators. It is the world’s largest Inter-Governmental tax organisation in the world with more members than similar bodies like OECD, CIAT, IOTA, etc. It is based at Marlborough House on Pall Mall in London.
I had the privilege and honour of serving as Executive Director of CATA for a record period of 14 years, from 1996 to 2010. Apart from its various annual technical support, training and capacity building activities for tax officials at all levels in , the single biggest event in the annual calendar of CATA was the Annual Technical Conference hosted by various CATA member countries in rotation. Each was planned in detail, structured in London and delivered by CATA in the host.
I have had more than enough of my share of official duties and exertions over the years. All focus now is on the social activities and events during various conference, preserved mainly as photos and some videos too.
